Travelling to us
By road: there is easy access via the A14 which runs off A1/M1. The hospital in in the centre of the historic core of the town. Car parking is free and rarely a problem. Cars can be left for free in the car park overnight.
By taxi: taxi ranks can be found in the town centre near the square and right outside the train station. The BMI can arrange for a taxi to pick you up from the hospital on request. Useful taxi numbers are

By bus: there is an excellent National Express bus service to Bury St Edmunds The bus station is about half a mile from the hospital. Visit www.nationalexpress.com
By train: there are good links to Cambridge and then onwards to Bury St Edmunds. However it is worth planning the journey as the trains to Bury during the day are half hourly so you ideally want to be arriving in Cambridge shortly before the next train departure. Visit https://www.thetrainline.com/
By air: the St Edmunds Hospital is approximately 50 minutes by car from Stansted Airport. There is a direct train service to Cambridge and then onwards to Bury (as above). Visit https://www.thetrainline.com/ for train connection details.
Staying Over
You may choose to stay in a B&B in Bury overnight. There a number within walking distance.
